The house is located just on the outskirts of Jijona (in Valencian and officially Xixona), it is a large mountain town located in the interior of the province of Alicante. World famous for its sweet Christmas nougat made with almonds and for its ice creams. The town has about 7,000 inhabitants and has all the services, a gas station, numerous green areas with children's play areas, a sports center and a large supermarket more and more. The main street of the city is a beautiful boulevard with numerous bars, restaurants, banks and small shops leading to the pretty primary school. The street comes alive in December when the world famous Christmas fair takes place and hundreds of visitors throng the street to the sound of Christmas carols to buy traditional products and Christmas gifts. Located 25 km north of the city of Alicante, and less than 30 minutes from the coast and the Mediterranean Sea, the town is nestled on the slopes of the Peña Roja mountain surrounded by pine and oak forests and enjoys incredible views as far as the coast, which makes it a perfect place to practice outdoor sports such as walking, cycling and climbing. The city enjoys a privileged climate and sun throughout the year with cool winters and hot summers with very little rainfall.
