Caldebarcos is part of Monte Pindo, which is a mountain located on the west coast of
Galicia, Spain, which has been the subject of numerous legends and myths over the centuries.
It is also known as the "Celtic Olympus" due to its importance in the Celtic culture of the area and the strength of its people.

In ancient times, Mount Pindus was a sacred place for the Celts and was believed to be
inhabited by gods and spirits. Archaeological remains have been found in the area dating back to the Bronze Age and the Iron Age.

It was already believed that from heaven the granite of this mountain imitates the lying bodies of what they believed to be the bodies of the gods.
During the Middle Ages, the mountain was a pilgrimage site for Christians, and a hermitage dedicated to San Guillermo, a local saint, was built on the top. The hermitage still stands and is a popular place of pilgrimage and tourism.
